Unit Pricing

The shelf label's price-per-ounce (or per-unit) figure that reveals the true cost of a package regardless of size. Manufacturers rely on the assumption that bigger is cheaper; unit pricing is the check that proves otherwise.

Before grabbing the bulk size, glance at the per-unit price. Smaller packages are cheaper roughly a third of the time.
